David Holler is a singer-songwriter, recording artist, producer, and entertainer based in Zürich, Switzerland.
Born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, David grew up surrounded by songwriting. His father, Dick Holler, wrote songs recorded by artists including Marvin Gaye, Cher, Ray Charles, and Bob Dylan. That musical legacy became part of David’s own path, eventually leading him to Europe, where he performed in piano bars and venues across Switzerland, Spain, Denmark, Holland, Scotland, Germany, Norway, and Sweden before making Zürich his home for more than 26 years.
Over the years, David has worked with Grammy-nominated producers and co-written songs for and with well-known Swiss artists and music professionals, including DJ BoBo, Stefanie Heinzmann, Anna Rossinelli, Pele Loriano, Luca Hänni, and many others.
He also co-wrote “A Mountain on the Moon” with Kent LaVoie, better known as Lobo, whose legendary classic “I’d Love You to Want Me” was No. 1 on the German pop charts for 13 weeks.
His latest single, “Kara,” is a radio-friendly flower-pop song with nostalgic vibes, now featured on Radio Swiss Pop. David also directed and edited the colorful music video, filmed around iconic locations in Zürich.
His song “Odeon,” a tribute to Zürich’s famous literary café, was featured in 20 Minuten and has remained on the Radio Swiss Jazz playlist for more than ten years.
As a music publisher, David’s company, Stonehenge Music, has placed songs in major television and motion pictures, notably Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. David was also the vocal coach for Roger Federer and the backing vocalists in the widely seen Sunrise “We” commercial.
Beyond his work as a recording artist and performer, David is also a certified English teacher at the Volkshochschule Zürich and a vocal coach, songwriting coach, and music-business mentor at Instrumentor.ch.
Currently, David works from his own studio in Zürich-Seebach, called the Dave Cave, where he teaches, writes, records, and develops his own music projects. His new batch of original songs is due for release later in 2027.
